Due to the overwhelming success of last year's change, Hyundai has announced that there will be two versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe again this year - the traditional five passenger crossover, now the Santa Fe Sport, and a larger model with three rows, known as the XL. The bigger Santa Fe XL is on a stretched wheelbase, 8.5 inches longer and 3.9 inches wider, and runs on a V6 engine.

The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe's Sport edition is powered by a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 190 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. There is also an optional turbocharged version. Six-speed automatic transmission is paired with both the four-cylinder choices and the XL's V6. Both the Sport and the XL have the option of All- Wheel drive as well.

The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe is available in four trim levels: Base, Premium, Luxury, and Limited. Even the base trim delivers an impressive array of features and comfort. Remote entry, heated seats and mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels are all included standard.

Although both 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe models are similar in that they are both fantastic family vehicles with great gas mileage, there are differences. The biggest difference is the XL's third row, with allows it to carry up to seven passengers. The second row can either come with two captain's chairs, in the Limited trim only, or with a 40/20/40 folding bench seat. This versatility allows for transporting long or oddly shaped items while still seating two people in back.
